Volunteer Abroad / Women's Empowerment

Volunteer Abroad » Women's Empowerment

While the status of women and girls around the world is improving, significant work remains undone. 60% of the world's poorest people are women and girls, and girls account for the majority of children not attending school. The status of women in the developing world impacts the entire family and community. Help to make the future brighter as you work to empower mothers and daughters.

The following are examples of volunteer projects. Projects are dynamic and change throughout the course of the year, as well as the volunteer needs at each project. Final project placement for volunteers (especially during the peak season months of May-August) will be determined by site teams based on community need, while also taking into account your skills and interests.
