Description and Impact

If you are interested in a career in special education or physical therapy, this could be the program for you.  ProWorld partners with an organization that is dedicated to promoting full inclusion of persons with disabilities through participatory development.  Participants on this project will be going on daily home visits with the District Rehabilitation Field Officer. Volunteers will act as personal assistants to the Field Officer by: 

• Attending site visits and offering general Field Officer support
• Spending time with patients and their families
• Assisting with speech pathology
• Assisting with physical therapy

This is the ideal project for someone interested in a career in physical therapy or speech pathology.
