Description and Impact

Many women in Oaxaca are very poor and marginalized and are forced to seek night time employment in order to survive. As single mothers, their lifestyles are not conducive to properly providing for their children and they often lack the resources needed to sustain their children. As a result, the many young children in Oaxaca are abandoned by their mothers and have no safe place to live and grow and become contributing members of society. 

What is the overall goal of the project? The overall goal of this project is to provide a safe haven for these children as well as basic education, clothing and other necessities, safe recreation areas as well as medical, dental and psychological care.  Most importantly, this children’s home is a place where each child is given the individual attention and love that they need to grow emotionally and physically.
