Multigenerational homes are society’s anchor in Belize, but when they crumble, the elderly suffer as much as the children.  ProWorld’s senior center in Belize offers service and dignity to seniors whose families can’t care for them. 

Offer support by:

• Assisting with day-to-day activities, such as dressing, feeding, and spending time with residents
• Organizing recreational activities
• Research fundraising options
• Managing the office
• Helping provide general facilities maintenance and organization
• Providing physical therapy to residents

Some residents are able to look after themselves, while others need assistance.  Compassion, a sense of humor, and an understanding of this population will go a long way in this facility.  You won’t soon forget the intense significance of offering neglected seniors service and dignity.   Participants interested in healthcare or physical therapy are encouraged to apply.
