Teach English to Monks

This Buddhist university was founded in 1887 by King Chulalongkorn of The King and I fame, to establish a major higher education institute for Buddhist monks, novices and laypeople.  With inexpensive tuition, it offers Buddhists from around the world an affordable advanced degree.  ProWorld has been integral to both teaching English and curriculum development.   Our volunteers are responsible for:

  • Assisting teachers in formal English classes
  • Leading informal English conversation classes
  • Attend Monk Chat for 2 hours, 3 days a week to practice conversation
