Students travel from rural villages to attend high school in Oaxaca.  Living away from their families for the first time, the transition between rural and urban life can be lonely and difficult.  This ProWorld program offers resources, tutoring, and support to smooth the process.  As an intern, you’d get to:

• Create study plans and strategies for students
• Tutor in English, mathematics or physics
• Conduct workshops and lectures on time management
• Supervise and evaluate academic tutoring programs
• Maintain and update information on current projects through a library database
• Advise tutors on the teaching methodology and organizational efficiency
• Create trainings to encourage teamwork and improve overall operation

Intermediate to Advanced Spanish skills required.  A background or classes in education, business, or psychology are helpful.
