The Universidade Catolica do Salvador was founded in 1961 and is one of the largest and most prestigious universities in Brazil. The university emphasizes its mission to build a strong center of community and social commitment from its students. UCSal offers undergraduate programs in Humanities, Natural and Health Sciences, Technology, Accounting and Administration, and Economics. This program is geared towards students interested in Brazilian history and culture, with a minimum 1 year of Portuguese language instruction (or intermediate fluency) at the university level.

All interested students must apply online at least 3 months prior to the beginning of the semester.
