Public Health Care and Outreach | Overview
Description and Impact
Many people living in rural areas in Thailand suffer from diseases and medical conditions can be easily prevented and addressed with early detection. Health clinics are particularly important in these areas where people don’t have access to the same quality of health care found in larger cities. ProWorld, in connection with local organization, runs a health clinic outside Chiang Mai. This clinic offers a variety of health services including health checks, treatment for communicable diseases, and public outreach and education. This health clinic is the primary source of treatment for people living in the sub-district outside of Chiang Mai.
What is the overall goal of the project?
The overall goal of this project is to provide treatment and health education for people living outside Chiang Mai.
- Health outreach including checking for high blood pressure and diabetes, and testing for communicable diseases. The health clinic also provides treatment for many of these diseases.
