Description and Impact

The small community in San Ignacio has a growing need for elderly home facilities and those willing to help look after the residents. In a country with such an open and friendly culture, the elderly residents at this elderly home are always appreciative of a nice conversation, physical therapy assistance, and good company.
 

What is the overall goal of the project? The overall goal of this project is to improve the quality of life for those living in the centre. Often times, the residents will be wheelchair bound and suffer from various effects of aging, such as Alzheimer’s, diabetes, dementia, and arthritis. Volunteers make a difference by offering their time and assistance at the centre
